Best Time to Visit

The holiday resort of Turunc has a Mediterranean Climate with humid summers and mildly cold winters. The best time to visit it is from April to October when the weather is warm yet not unpleasantly hot, yielding into an ideal tourist season to be spent lounging on the magnificent beach.

How to Get There

The Dalaman Airport serves as the entry point to the Marmaris region. From the airport, one can find innumerable options to reach Turunc which is only 120 km away. Things to do, see and buy in Turunc

There are several things one can enjoy in this village. The highlight of the area is of course the Blue Flag beach which faces the east of the town. Many bars and restaurants line the beach front where one can relax in the sun beds and cushions available at little or no charge at all. The crystal blue waters and the gentle waves are enough to lull a visitor into relaxation and languor. Water sports like water skiing, diving, surfing, swimming and fishing are highly developed and very popular amongst the locals as well as the tourists.

Being close to both the Aegean waters and the Turkish coastline, there are several Boat Trips in Turunc one can undertake to the bays of Ciftlik, Amos and Kumlubuk and the Turtle Beach. The weekly market in Turunc is hosted on Mondays from 8 in the morning a few minutes away from the harbor. Food stalls are also set up which sell pancakes and local refreshing beverages. Other than the weekly bazaar, small gift shops, situated all over the area, sell trinkets and souvenirs to remember the quality time spent here.

Turkish, Chinese, Indian, Asian and Russian cuisines are available in the trendy beachfront restaurants. The most popular restaurants in the area are the Antik, the Bondjuk and the Green Garden. Serfie’s Kitchen is famous for its casseroles and other Turkish delights. The local beer, efes, is a treat not to be missed and the Minem Café Bar and Meydan Bar are very popular amongst the young crowd.
